Our Purpose
We exist to build a more beautiful world. A name like ‘Life is Beautiful’ comes with great responsibility. Because Life is Beautiful is more than just a festival, it’s a mantra – a way of moving through the world.
But What
Is Beautiful
Anyways
It is a world that defaults to optimism. It is a world where potential meets possibility. It is a world with equity in opportunity. It’s a world that offers exposure to new experiences outside of our comfort zones.
Life is Beautiful is a Community Development Project Disguised as a Music Festival
Founded in 2013, our three-day music, arts, and culture festival was born as part of a major transformation of Downtown Las Vegas, a historically underserved neighborhood. In the years since our founding, over $350M+ in economic impact and cultural capital have flooded into “DTLV” and the surrounding area.
Community impact is our mission
Our passion is fueled by a simple belief: art can change the world. Every year, the festival works to bring more musicians, artists, creators into the sun. To-date, that’s meant over 570 musical acts, 113 unique large scale public art installations, 124 comics and key notes, and 36 philanthropic partners have been ushered into Downtown Las Vegas to celebrate community.
Our Belief
Among us are dreamers and doers, challengers & compassionates, optimists and outliers. We inspire and transform. Our acts of kindness are intentional. Together we create pause. We create space to appreciate the beauty in ourselves and our surroundings. Most of all we create noise. We create noise that drowns out the naysayers. The kind of noise that calls you into the here and now. The kind of noise that makes you move your feet. Because life is reason for celebration, and you should get out there and dance. So if you’ve just dropped in, join us, you’ll fit right in.
Our Neighborhood
Taking place within the city streets of Downtown Las Vegas, Life is Beautiful offers a bustling urban backdrop that is uniquely ours. The vibrant neighborhood includes several festival partners, businesses, and attractions including Fergusons Downtown, Container Park, 11th Street Records, and more – all of which reside directly in the festival footprint and are responsible for bringing Life to this Beautiful community.
